The Washington State Indian Education Association (WSIEA) was formally established in 1983. The purpose of WSIEA is to promote educational excellence for all Native American students through effectively influencing educational policy developments and implementation at state, regional, and national levels in cooperation with other educators and educational institutions. WSIEA membership includes Indian educators, parents, and others who are dedicated to improving the quality of education for Native Americans.
